Dock Levelers

Dock levelers are the basic equipment of loading bays. The dock levelers are steel platforms that connect the dock of the building/ warehouse to the vehicle truck bed which allows the fork lifts and material handling equipment to pass over the platforms to load/ unload goods.

  • Swing Lip Dock Leveler

The swing lip dock leveler is more economic and widely used for loading/ unloading purpose. As the vehicle contacts the dock bumper at the loading bay, the leveler is raised, the lip is opened which is 360mm to 400mm in length and laid onto the truck bed.

  • Telescopic Dock Leveler

The telescopic dock leveler has extending/ sliding lip and overlap the truck bed to suit special requirements. These are ideal for connecting vehicles with dock station where the truck bed cannot be directly connected to loading bay i.e. sea containers, side loading railway wagons etc. These levelers can be supplied with a lip extending from 500mm to 1m.

sectional-door Standard Characteristics

  • The platform, lip and reinforcements are manufactured by structural steel S355
  • In case of use in damp places and where intensive washing is used, hot-dip galvanized finishing is used for manufacturing
  • Standard dimensions; W2000mm*L3000mm*H550mm.
  • Standard load carrying capacity is 6000kg concentrated on lift truck, as per EN 1398.
  • The double hydraulic cylinder system for lifting dock leveler makes it easily possible to exceed the weight capacity at 9000kg in special cases.
